This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

For the last post on Saint Patrick's Day
From the seller:
A magnificent 1890-1900 black net lace and green silk opera evening coat that has been de-accessioned from a major NY City museum collection. The coat has a wide shawl collar with a stand up back collar. The collar is made of green silk and trimmed with black silk floral appliqués. The coat has a ruffled front and is trimmed with appliqués on the back waist. There is a black satin ribbon tie that inserts from each side of the waist and a silk tie on the inside waist. The coat is in very good and sturdy condition. There is a repair on one sleeve and a few scattered breaks in the net lace on the front ruffles. A very stunning display coat. Bust 34 Waist 28 Front length 52 Back length 59.
From Me:
As always, please mop up the drool on your way out! ;-) Thanks!
