This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Swimsuit Season, 1907 edition!
From the seller:
An Edwardian woman's 1907 bathing suit/dress with accompanying photo of a woman wearing it. It's condition is excellent, given
that it is over 100 years old! This circa 1907 piece would make a great display item in your Beach house decor, or a museum's display of Vintage clothing.
The accompanying photo shows 3 women [family members], one wearing the actual bathing suit, relaxing on the Rhode Island Shoreline.
The outfit is Navy-blue with white accents. It has 'built-in-bloomers'.
From Me:
I love that this has a picture of the original owner wearing the swimsuit in question! Fabulous!
