... THIS IS AN EXQUISITE VINTAGE, EDWRDIAN ERA, WEDDING DRESS,
IN A DOTTED SWISS NET FABRIC, AND WHAT WE THINK IS BATTENBURG LACE.
DRESS IS EMBELLISHED WITH WONDERFUL BAND INSERTS OF LACE AND RUFFLES.
THERE IS NO CLOSURE, IT IS PULL ON STYLE.
WE BELIEVE IT DATES, FROM THE LATE 1910's OR EARLY 20's, PERHAPS EVEN A BIT EARLIER.
NOT LABELED, IT LOOKS TO BE A SMALL SIZE.

CONDITION.
- we would consider this item to be in "very" preowned vintage condition.
- there are some small holes in the netting and lace.
- there is an old patch under the left arm.
- we found no significant rips, holes or tears.
- a couple of faint stains, that should respond to a professional dry cleaning.
- the dress has yellowed over time and was probably once white.
- there are no musty or unpleasant odors.
- although delicate, the fabric appears to be quite strong.
Dress could be carefully worn, once cleaned and the minor repairs made.
- we are not aware of any repairs or restorations.
THE VINTAGE DRESS.
Please compare the measurements below with one of your own,
similar comfortably fitting garments to assure a good fit.
Garment was measured lying flat with no stretch to the fabric.
- constructed of a soft opaque net fabric and fine delicate lace.
- measures 18 inches across at the shoulder seams.
- it is 18 inches across from underarm seam to underarm seam. (about a 36 bust max).
- waist is 34 inches in circumference.
- hip area measures 44 inches.
- measures 17 inches from neckine to waist.
- it is 52 inches from neckline seam to hem at the front
and 56 at the back allowing for a slight train.
- 94 inches in circumference at the hem.
- unlined with a ruffle hem.
- sleeves are 10 inches from underarm to edge with a circumference of 14 inches.
- no maker's label as stated above.
