This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Edwardian Era Brown Outfit
From the seller:
Up for sale is this dress that came from an estate. The box is marked 1870. I myself do not know anything else about this so I will describe as best I can. this is 2 pieces. top & skirt. The lace is a burnt brown color with black design. There is also cream color lace on the top with light green velvet fabric around the waist and ribbon decoration around neck, sleeves and on the front. The mannequin s measurements are 32" bust, 24" waist & 36" hips. This fits her snug so please consider measurements. Shoulder to shoulder its 13 1/2", at waist to bottom hem of skirt its 41" & under pit to bottom hem of top its 7 1/2". Flaws are listed above in condition description. Email with questions, thanks for looking & check back often because I will be listing many more items from the 1900s, 1920s era. Dresses, capes, fans & sleepwear.
From Me:
The dress is from the mid 1900s based upon the sleeves and overall style. It looks like it would be rather cute if you could display it correctly.
