A majestic 1830’s gold satin brocade dress that has recently been de-accessioned from the Mayflower Museum in Rhode Island. The dress was originally worn by Maria Williams Simmons Harrington. Her name is hand written on the inside of the bodice, B. 1789 D. 1889. The fabric has a large floral and leaf pattern. The neckline has a pleated collar and is piped. The sleeves are designed in the Gigot style with stitched down pleating at the top and on the sleeve cuff. The armscyes, inner seam on the sleeves and the cuffs are piped. The waist is also piped. The dress is lined with cotton and has a back hook and eye closure. It is in good condition. There is some fabric loss on the attached collar near the shoulders, (see photo) and small areas of light underarm discoloration. Antique clothing is for display/collecting and should not be worn. Bust 31 Waist 23 Skirt length 37.

It *should* be working now. I switched to a new domain name and that messed up the feeds over the weekend and up until yesterday. With help, I managed to get it back to normal and still keep the new domain name. You'll get to the page all about the new domain eventually. :-)
