This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Beautiful 1920's Party Dress with Petal Hem
From the seller:
Estate Find.
Lovely old beige silk satin dress with sections of fine pleated silk crepe that is heavily beaded in black silver clear and pink
Scalloped skirt is longer in back than front.
V neck bodice on both front and back. Unknown if the dress had sleeves as there are none
Fragile, and many tears in this dress, not suitable for repair.
Sold as is for repurposing, piecing, pattern, shabby décor, antique doll costuming or ???

Although the straps are gone (probably from improper storage on a hanger), this dress is still fabulous!
