This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Natural Form Plaid Bodice
From the seller:
A sweet 1870’s blue and tan cotton print bodice. The bodice is trimmed with bands of navy blue cotton and white eyelet. The bodice is unlined and has a front button closure. It has two side pockets. The bodice is in very good condition. There are no holes and no underarm discoloration. There is some light soiling on the eyelet trim and one missing button. Bust 34 Waist 26.
From Me:
The sleeve style is still that of the 1860's - which is common in the 1870's as well. The lack of a bustle back and the basque waist make me think this is about 1877-1879 ish.
