Edwardian Summer Dress













From the seller:

ANTIQUE RECEPTION GOWN
Label: none

Description:
Pale green silk reception gown from the early 1900s
Lace bodice and collar
Black velvet ribbon and soutache braid trim
Detailed sleeve cuffs with smocking
The left shoulder has a piece of tulle underneath to stabelize the lace
The skirt has stitched down pleats in the front and back
There are 2 bias strips of fabric around the lower part of the skirt
Closes in the back with hooks and eyes
Condition:

The fabric has sun or light faded in places
There are light spots here and there and a faint stain in the center front of the skirt
The lace on the right shoulder has some broken connecting threads
The fabric at the waist in the back has shattered, probably from stress
The fabric on the right underarm has shattered a bit and has been mended, but this is not visible when worn
These are minor flaws that do not detract from the appearance
Otherwise, in good condition
Measurements:

These measurements are taken flat with a flexible measuring tape...You have to be smaller than the measurements to allow room for ease:

There is no size tag, fits a Small
Shoulder to shoulder: 17 inches
Sleeve length: 16 inches
Bust: 36 inches
Waist: 24 inches
Hip: 40 inches
Length center back from waist: 42 inches
