Stunning Edwardian Dinner Dress WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!

There is just so much to write about these pieces, I could go on for hours... but I'll let the photos speak for themselves. An exceptional composition from lace, tulle, velvet, rhinestones and beads. Label on the bodice inner waistband (petersham): “Robes & Lingerie * Marc Walter * 3 Place Vendome * Paris”. His immediate neighbours were: Doucet, Beer, Worth. Rightly as this dress shows. The dress is in excellent condition. Only the silk lining is torn in some places. But it's rare to find those that aren't all torn up. The decoration is not included.

Skirt Length: ~ 58" (back measure)

I went to the webpage where this dress can also be found for the much larger and more numerous photos.  I want to make sure that if anyone wants to recreate this beauty, they can.  The pictures are from Antique Dress which I'm sure most of you know about.

I think this dress is slightly before 1904, more likely 1904. This is based on the sleeves. The fitted at the shoulders but voluminous at the cuff, then gathered into the fitted cuff look (known as the bishop sleeve) was very popular in 1902 and almost completely disappeared in 1903.

Gorgeous dress from the 20s / 30s.
Sexy but demure at the same time.
Feather weight netting in a floral print.
Panels and tucking create a beautiful silhouette.
Scarf sleeves attach at bust and st center back.
Deep v front and back.
Side snap closure
Gored skirt for movement when walking.
Figure hugging.
Would have most likely had a nude colored slip but long since gone missing. Pair it with one of your own or layer it over a body suit for a more modern kick.
Excellent condition. Minor under arm yellowing. No rips.
Measures 38.26.38. Some stretch.

This would love lovely with a light natural slip beneath it to bring out the floral print. Very much 1930's in style.

Edwardian Lawn Dress

From the seller:

This is an antique ladies Edwardian lingerie dress.

This dress is white cotton and lace.

22" waist
36" chest diameter
52" long

This dress is in "as found" condition--it has a couple of small yellow stains but it has not been cleaned or pressed.

It does have some wear: there is deterioration on the top of one shoulder;
it has two repairs (one is under the right arm, the other is under the left chest ruffle);
it also has one small 1/4" hole on the bottom and a 1" tear in the lace along the bottom edge;

Still a really beautiful display piece that should clean up nicely.

I'm pretty sure this was for a teenager based on the length and waist size. It reminds me a lot of this dress from 1905 due to the way the blouse is trimmed:
