From the seller:

All hand sewn luxury 1920's kimono style dressing gown or jacket of double layer silk chiffon with wide Alencon lace flounce. Four silk ribbonwork appliques trim the front and sleeves.

Each measures 3" by 2". The lace flounce in good clean condition measures 6" by 80". The garment measurements: back length 40", width at underarm 40". Condition is compromised with green silk ribbon splitting, and tears to the chiffon at the upper back.

The condition is for repurpose or study with the ribbonwork flowers and lace trim in very good clean condition.

From Me:

I know, only one photo by the time I got to it. Actually, the seller deleted the photos early on because I did check a day after the auction ended and the photos were gone. Bah!

Ribbon Embroidered on Lace 1920's Dress

From the seller:

Spectacular French silk ribbonwork with chenille accents is embroidered silk lace run with gold metallic thread on this 1920's couture Kiviette labeled flapper dress. The size is extra small and the body of the dress is peach silk satin crepe trimmed at the neckline with lace and ribbon work matching the lower skirt. The bodice is silk lined, and the skirt is lined with silk chiffon trimmed with 5 large ribbonwork bows. The dress has a side closure with snaps.

The skirt lace is 17" deep by 2 1/3 yards. The ribbonwork is 6" deep

Condition: some soiling around the inside neckline, faint spots across the bodice back, lace on the bodice is fragile but could be stabilized by underlining with new tulle.

Measurements: length from shoulder 41", bust 34", waist 28

This very special couture 1920's dress was part of a luxurious trousseau. Check our other listings for more pieces from this group.

From Me:

I saved the entire group's photos. This is beyond gorgeous stuff.

Late Teens/Early 1920's Gown

From the seller:

This is an unique Art Deco lace sheath dress and top.

It is covered in hand made lace and made of sheer cotton voile over a black silk sheath!

It is in wonderful condition and is just stunning to see. It is a small, 4-6, and it snaps closed.
The silk sash has some holes and could be replaced.
There are a few broken threads to this gossamer lace, but mostly it is in excellent condition!
You will never see another like this one;
it is museum quality!

Free shipping to the 48 contiguous states.

From Me:

The length and the construction style seem more late Teens to me. This was probably part of the transition style from the highly detailed teens outfits to the far simpler cuts and closures of the 1920's.

Sweet Looking 1920's Dress

From the seller:

Lovely Light Ivory Embroidered Net & Tape Lace Dress with Flared Net Skirt, and Double Drop Waist

Wonderful Large Art Deco Central Lace Insert with Rows of tiny Embroidered Rosettes, All Hand stitched!

The Drop Waist has Bands of Handmade Cluny Lace, in darker Ivory, and there ate rosettes scattered over the bodice & skirt. Muted Peach taffeta slip.

(Mannequin is 5'10" tall. Accessories not included, but listed separately)

I would consider this Garment to be a Roomy Medium to Large

There is some stretch to the net, so would fit a range of sizes.

Measurements are EXACT taken flat doubled:

Bust 39"

Waist 39"

Hip 42"

Length 42"

EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION!

A FEW MENDS on the net, one is about 2" on the skirt back, the others are very small. There are repairs to the lace on the first waistband, mostly in the back on one side, they are extensive, but really well done, so don't show very much, and slight wear on the edges, a couple of tiny rust spots...Lower band is perfect. Slip has a couple of small light spots.

Has been dry cleaned pressed and is ready to wear!

From Me:

This is so adorable and yet so simple at the same time. I love the play of the floral sheer white over the pink slip.

PULLED IN THE WAIST IT CAN BE WORN AS A SUMMER BEACH OUTFIT. IT TIGHTENS TO ABOUT 26" AT THE WAIST. THERE ARE 2 BROWN STAINS ON THE PANTS BUTT. I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO CLEAN THEM. MAY NEED DRY CLEANING.

From Me:

I.....ewwww.....

Sorry for anyone that actually reads what the seller wrote. Maybe I should include a warning?

There are times where I really wish I didn't have this format and could just say "Here are the measurements! It's pretty, it's green, it's a maternity dress from the 1920's! Yay!" and we wouldn't have to deal with the TMI details....

1920's Pink and Silver dress

From the seller:

Up for your consideration is a Flapper Style Dress with Rhinestones. The great rhinestones decorate the arms and waist with a great wire and rhinestone flower. All of the rhinestones are there and they look great. The lace collar and the front panel is made out of some wire like threads, collar looks great, front panel has wear on the bottom, as you can see in the picture. The material for the dress is stretchy, linen type material on the out side and the inside is maybe a silk blend( i really don't know my fabrics, but the inside material is very soft, doesn't have the shine that silk has.)
Gathering in the waist area. A combination of hand stitching and machine stitching. You can see the stains in the pictures, don't know if they will come out, i did hand washed this with a very mild Ivory Snow, so it does smell better, did not iron this.

So the measurements are, these are all approximate,

Shoulder width, 10"(remember this is stretchy material)
Top of back of dress to bottom of hem, 40"
Bust, from underarm to underarm, 12 1/2"

I am starting on all the great old clothes. They have a variety of different styles and i hope i get all the information right,( they will be checking the auctions and ( i am sure) will let me know if get something wrong). So please if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Just remember that i can not change anything on the listing once it has a bid, that is the way they do things on here. So i might have to add the question onto the auction.
So forgive me if i make a mistake. On these if you do win and if i misrepresent in the presentation of the article, and you are not happy with it, all you have to do and ship it back and your money will be refunded.

If you need anymore information, please e-mail me, will get right back to ya, no problem.

So here is the story on these , i went over to my brother's place and he has this room that is jam packed with vintage(old) stuff. He and his lovely better half is cleaning it all out to make a guest room. They used to be antique dealers, used to buy and sell. This is not left over stock but stock that they never got to.( in other words, they stopped selling but kept on buying) so they still have a lot of great old stuff. Some of the stuff i will list but a lot more will be going to a local auction, so if there is something that you collect and want, please let me know and i will see if they have it.

From Me:

This looks like it was a handmade piece rather than store bought. Very cute!

Yellow Late 1920's Dress

From the seller:

This dress measures 38" around the bust, 36" around the waist, 38" around the hips and is 33" long from under the arm to the bottom. The overall condition is good. Several seams are stressed a little, there is a tiny hole at the bottom of the neckline in the front and a small stain on the front near the waist. The color of the dress might show a little brighter in the photos. The color has also darkened slightly in areas over the years but the overall look is great.

From Me:

Once you get rid of the corset, the measurements suddenly become modernly normal. This is a modern 10.
