This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

OMG! Shoes!
From the seller:
Stunning 1890 very wearable, beautiful hand beaded evening
shoes .
I believe the tiny micro beads are jet, plus there is some
tiny sequins scattered on the stand up front flap.
They are made by Marshall Fields and have lovingly been
named "bespoke".
"Marshall Fields" started in Chicago on Lake Street in 1852.
Shoes like this are rare, and these are in great condition
for their age.
For wear or display.
Material :Black silk satin hand beaded
Label : Marshall Fields Aristo name of shoes "Bespoke"
Size : 6 B
Width : 3"
Length : 9 1/2"
Heel :2 1/2"
Soles : Leather
Condition : Great, the toe on right shoe has been worn down.
The left heel has some 2" scrapes in the satin.
Beading looks all there.
From Me:
Hi everybody!
I'm back from Ireland. I was there for two weeks and just got back on Thursday. I want to go back already. Ireland was lovely.
Anyway, the shoes! I'm thinking more late 1890's/early 1900's for these beauties. Aren't they fun?

And I wish they weren't so expensive. I've always wondered if the tongue on the front would catch in your hem?
