This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Titanic Era Pink and Silver Dress
From the seller:
This exquisite Edwardian Titanic era pink silk silver beaded net lace evening gown dress dates from 1912. It is made of a pink pastel silk fabric, with a sheer off white tulle net overlay and silver crystal beading. This beautiful ball gown evening dress is a long floor length, with a slight back train, layered drape style, short net sleeves with beaded fringe cuffs, blue velvet forget me not flower trim at the side waist and hidden underneath the front top, fully lined with a small silk sachet sewn inside the neckline and snap, hook closures down the back. The dress measures 50 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 24 inch waist and 34 inch bust. It is in as-is fair condition, has not been cleaned, with a few small frayed holes on the net top and some age spot stains on the side waist and under the arms (see close-up). It would be great for design, study, pattern or restoration. This is truly an exceptional quality custom made piece of wearable art!
From Me:
You've got to wonder what was in the sachet. :-)
