This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Pink Floral Bodice
From the seller:
This auction is for an original Lady's Dress Bodice from the height of the Victorian period. It is made of floral warp-printed silk. The style reminds me of Van Gogh's paintings. It is trimmed out in bright pink satin and features a beautiful lace yoke. The lining is brown cotton and it fastens with original hooks and eyes.
Condition: There is a tiny spot of wear to the inside of the collar and a couple of repairs to the lining. The bodice is beautiful and sturdy enough to display or use as a pattern, as it is a particularly elegant example, excellent for copying.
Measurements are: AS IT IS DISPLAYED HERE: The bust is 32 inches & the waist measures 23 inches.
From Me:
Definitely 1890's. Love the pink bow on the back of the neck.
