Late 18th Century Men's Waistcoat

From the seller:

2 flap pockets

Elaborate embroidery

silk front; back is open with ties

Length 22"; Armpit to armpit 20"

Probably the 1780's based on the hemline. What I like about this one is that you can see the insides of the garment because of how deteriorated the lining is. Yet another example of how even a garment that is in bad shape can tell us a lot.
