This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Wrapper (?) Dress
From the seller:
Exquisite Victorian dress from the 1890's, outstanding condition, has several tiny holes in the Taffeta but the muslin underside is strong and without damage! This dress is very wearable! There are also several small soil spots and a few larger spots on the underside, please see all photos. I have not tried to clean this dress. This dress has a stiff bodice, hook and eye closure, velvet hem, gorgeous bobbin lace under the hem of the rear of the dress where the hoop would go (hoop not included), tiny tailored waist and high puffy shoulders, there is silk fur trim down the front. This dress is VERY stable, no deterioration anywhere, no holes all the way through, no damage at all to the underside, no damage to the lace.. there are seam repairs needed under the arms and on top of one shoulder. Just astounding, one of a kind find in this condition! There are also no odors of any kind.
The measurements are... 26" Bust.. 20" Waist.. 28" Hips.. 11" across shoulders.. 23" Sleeve from shoulder seam.. 55" Long from shoulder down the front.. 63" long from the center of the collar down the back.. For a VERY tiny lady!
From Me:
Sorry I've been to the winds lately! This is a lovely petite winter at home dress!
