Teen's Era Suit Jacket


From the seller:

Rare definitive Edwardian walking suit with hobble skirt. Labelled "Robes and Manteaux, Mme Truffroy, Rue de Sevres, Pres de Bon Marche Paris" Nubbled navy blue wool blend fabric with innovative cuts in the jacket slight side closure with beautiful filigree and enamel buttons, lined in smart stripe silk. Back closure on skirt with vertical gather's into vertical central panel, small tucks in front, tappering at hem. In excellent antique uncleaned as found condition missing one hook and eye and some loose lace at neckline. Chest measures 38" waist on jacket 28", sleeves 18", shoulder to shoulder 17", slight cut away on jacket measures approx. 23" in front. Skirt waist 23" length 40".
