Edwardian Summer Dress

From the seller:

This week, I will be listing a Wonderful Collection of Vintage Clothing, including a large assortment of Victorian from a single Estate find.
Please, check out my other items to save of shipping.
Good Luck!

This is a Great, Rare, Early Victorian woman's 2pc outfit. This wonderful Old piece has a Great, Early design, with Boning in the bodice, Hook & Eye closures, Silk trim & flowers and embroidered Lace, is made of a shear Wool material, includes the Bodice & Floor Length Skirt, is an Original, Vintage example, from the Victorian era, 19th Century, and is Rare to Find. This has no marked Size, but the bodice actually measures approx. 16" from armpit to armpit and 18" from top to bottom, with the skirt having a 24" waist and being 46" from top to bottom. This appears to be in Fair, Solid condition, with some small scattered holes and wear to the silk at the bottom of the bodice.

From Me:

Clearly, the seller has zero clue as to what this is. First, "early Victorian" would be 1840's/1850's which this very much isn't.  I'm not entirely sure it's wool - despite the sellers claims- but think it's probably a cotton with silk.

1905 Fashion Plate

The pigeon bodice and high neckline, along with the puffy 3/4 sleeves are all very Edwardian in nature.   Even the use of lace and trim is Edwardian.
