1870's Calico Bustle

From the seller:

An 1880’s floral blue cotton bustle dress. The fabric has a pink floral and green leaf pattern on a blue background. The bodice has a long bustled back peplum that is trimmed with light pink cotton. The bodice is lined with cotton and has a front button closure. The unlined skirt has a ruffled hemline and each ruffle is trimmed with pink cotton. The dress is in very good and sturdy condition. There are no splits or holes. There is some light underarm discoloration on the inside lining only, a missing button on the back skirt waist, and light age marks on the back of the bodice. Bust 34 Waist 27 Skirt length 40.

From Me:

1874 Fashion Plate

The 3/4 sleeves with the lacy ruffled cuffs, the basque waist, and the v-front neckline all point to the first bustle.
