This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. Turn of the Century Women's Outfit

*Genuine 1890s "Victorian" - Wool and Silk Taffeta Skirt and Top.
*Black with Marigold colors.
Go by the Actual Measurements provided, and Compare to something that
Fits you Very Well for best fit. Taken with garment laying flat.
MEASUREMENTS:
*Bust 30", Shld to Shld 13", Sleeve Length 21 1/2", Waist 22", Total Length 15".
*Skirt Waist: 22", Hips Free to a point, Length 37".
CONDITION:
*As Found, a project piece.. Silk on front bodice net panel is shattered, no other problems found.

I think this is actually early 1900's based on the sleeves. I get why they think it's 1890's though -based ont he neckline and the skirt.
