This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1880's Bodice
From the seller:
Antique Victorian Shirt/Blouse
Tailored Corset Bodice
Up for your consideration is this wonderful old hand tailored bodice blouse featuring 18 covered ball buttons. The top botton is loose but the rest seem to be tight. This garment has no foul odors but does have lots of staining. No moth holes that I see just the stains that are the detraction. Seems to be mostly machine stitched
Approximate Measurements, Size Small/Petite:
From top of neck to back side bottom: 24"
Shoulder to Shoulder, seam to seam: 14"
Armpit to armpit: 15”
Thickest part of sleeve at armpit: 6"
Narrowest part of sleeve at bottom: 5"
Waist: 11.5"
Thank you so much for shopping with me. Please feel free to write with any questions and best of luck in Bidding and of course...WINNING!!!
From Me:
I don't know why, but I really like this. I think it's just the very simple cuts with a nice plain fabric that somehow turns out quite elegant looking.
