1860's (?) Ball Gown Bodice

FASHIONED OF FRENCH SILK JACQUARD IN A STRIPED AND FLORAL PATTERN




HOOKS CLOSED WITH HAND HAMMERED HOOK AND EYES




THE BUST IS FULLY STUFFED ON THE INTERIOR GIVING IT FULL FORM




THE SLEEVES ARE SHORT AND TRIMMED IN SOLID RUFFLING WITH BUTTON TRIMS AT THE PLEAT GATHERS AND CORDING AROUND THE EDGES




FAN OF BONING ON THE INTERIOR

From Me:

I'm a bit hesitant to post this one because there a few things that look 1930's to me and I'm not sure if that's just stuff that was added later or if this was made in the 1930's. The overall cut is pretty consistent for the post American Civil War era - about 1867. However, the gimpy looking trim and the visible buttons look more modern to me.
