This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Edwardian Shirtwaist with Black Lace
From the seller:
I purchased this wonderful blouse at an antique store while visiting relatives in Tennessee. It caught my eye - I love the details.
• Pintucked throughout
• Very sheer cotton ecru/off-white – which has yellowed
• Black lace
•High neck lace collar with hook and eye closures
• Fabric covered tiny buttons down the back
•Approximate measurements: shoulder to shoulder, 9-1/4”; sleeves, 11”; neck back to bottom of waist, 17”; waist width, 10-1/2”.
From Me:
Edwardian. You can tell from the pigeon front at the waist and the way the cuff is gathered - more gathers creating a small puff to one side versus the other.
