This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1930's Sheer Floral Print Dress
From the seller:
Turn heads
in this fabulous, flowing dress c. 1930-35
...delicate floral fabric print
...bow at bodice...ruffled sleeves
...waistband gathers in a bow at back
* in overall great condition *
Apologies: 2 small holes L. bust [ pic 6 ] some smaller ones on R. neckline /bust [ pic 7, new pic ]
scattered pinholes in skirt [ and bust holes ] will never show when worn with a black slip
Measurements [ lying flat ]
underarm-underarm: 20" waist: 18" hips: 20" + length: 49"
Enjoy !
From Me:
This, of course, would have been worn with a slip. ;-) It would look really neat with a black silk slip beneath it.
