This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1930's Floral Dress
From the seller:
Such a beautiful 30s dress! Likely early to mid 30s as closes on side with press studs rather than zipper
This feels like satin and looks like satin but it does not have a content tag so I am not certain (please ask questions if need be)
Ivory/cream base, stunning, with pink purple and yellow flowers
Front metal zipper, attached ties to cinch the waist
Made by Kamore
Attached bibbing over neckline and partial bust area that forms into a scalloped sleeve overhang, very glamorous
NOTES- Fair vintage condition but has 3 tears each about 2"- two tears are near the tie attachments, one on each side- then one at the front centered between zip and side but at the front, more of a frail tear also a small frail tear near there on the body of the dress,in general has lots of tiny little frail areas and little areas along seams that could do with some reinforcement stitches and a couple of small areas that need mending along seams too-also needs an iron- sold as is
MEASUREMENTS (approx fit medium-maybe a large but please refer to measurements)
Bust 38
Waist 28
Hips 48
Length 58
Lovely, romantic, historical, glam
From Me:
The button front with the flutter sleeve together is unusual but both are common aspects of a 1930's.
