This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Easter Egg Beading on 1920's Cream Dress
From the seller:
THIS DRESS IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, HOWEVER IT IS VERY FRAGILE AND POSSIBLY NOT WEARABLE. THIS IS A RARE 2 PIECE DRESS, MANY FLAPPER DRESSES HAVE LOST THEIR UNDER SLIP. THE SLIP IS BEADED AT THE SCALLOPS ON THE BOTTOM. THIS DRESS IS SILK AND THE CONDITION IS GOOD BUT FRAGILE, THERE IS SOME SMALL HOLES AND A LITTLE SHATTER, BUT I HAVE BEEN TREATING WITH KIDD GLOVES. MY PICTURES DO NOT DO THIS JUSTICE, THERE ARE PANELS ON THE MAIN DRESS THAT ARE BEAUTIFULLY BEADED. I AM HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. I WILL ONLY SHIP TO THE USA AND OUTSIDE USE EBAY GLOBAL SHIPPING. AGAIN, WHILE THIS DRESS IS INTACT AND THE BEADING IS IN GOOD CONDITION, ANY TENSION PUT ON THE FABRIC(SILK CREPE) COULD CAUSE DAMAGE. THIS WOULD BE BEST FOR DISPLAY.
From Me:
I really couldn't think of a way to describe the beading other than easter eggs. This dress with pink bunny ears will be my new Harvey.
