This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Mid 19th Century Black Shoes
From the seller:
Circa 1860, American or European ladies leather and fabric tie up boots with signature on inner flap.
Item Measurements:
Apprx. 10".. 2 1/2" at widest part.
Item condition:
In good strong condition, one hole in fabric, perhaps this can have added fabric attached from inside..leather also needs a shine. All items we list need to be cleaned.
From Me:
This one clearly has machine sewing - so post mid 1850's - but also has a good deal of hand sewing - so pre 1880's. 1860's does seem to be a good fit for these based on that.
