This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Early 1920's Lace Summer Dress
From the seller:
Magnificent Edwardian Antique Flapper Embroidered Net Lace Dress circa early 1900s, this magnificent piece is constructed of a couple of lace, - one being embroidered net lace and the other a darned net lace or Darned Net Filet, color is a lovely honey shade, round neckline - dropped waist and rows and rows of pin-tucks, it has no opening, you will pull over your head, so you must be smaller than measurements to fit into this, the condition is exceptional with no rips or holes, it has some small storage spots and has yellowed or turned a honey color with age- otherwise in the best condition I have ever seen a dress in this age bracket, in my opinion this is museum quality.
Please note - My manniquin is a bust 34" so you must be a 34" or less for this to look right, even though it measures approx a 38", it was designed to hang loose.

Measures approx
Bust - 38"
Waist - 38"
Hips-38"
Length - 42 "
From Me:
I'm guessing about 1922 for this dress. This, of course, would have been worn over a colorful slip.
