This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Early Edwardian Summer Dress with Underthings
From the seller:
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, this fabulous incredibly preserved wedding ensemble..includes the gorgeous two piece gown lace pearl buttons and lovely train..chemisette with high collar, chemise, petticoat, and silk traditionally marked wedding night gown...see the "something blue" under the arm. All are in excellent condition for age, gown is understandably most fragile condition needing some darning on front bodice..see photos.. MEASURES ARE APPROXIMATE, 32, 22, 36"...GORGEOUS. NO other MAJOR STAINING OR TEARS NOTED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST. Please note we cater to conneseurs of fine antique clothing and vintage linens and lingerie world-wide. These are not new items and may have an occasional loose thread or minor repair here and there, faint character spot ir two, but we do our very best to disclose noticed flaws. Items are not returnable unless we have grossly misrepresented the item.
From Me:
I'm not sure where the seller gets the idea that all of this is for a wedding. It looks like a typical lot of any summer to me. None of it suggests a wedding dress at all. Instead, it looks like it's more for a nice summer picnic.
