From the seller:
A magnificent 1890’s Worth Paris labeled silk ball gown dress. The dress is designed using three different colored silk fabrics. The front of the skirt is made of off white silk, the side panels are blue silk faille and the bodice and back of the skirt are made of printed silk fabric. The printed silk has large mauve floral bouquets that are tied with a blue ribbon. The bodice has white silk chiffon sleeves and neckline. The bodice has a hidden front lacing closure. It is lined with silk. The lacing is missing and there are splits in the lining. The skirt has a long back train and is unlined. The dress is in very good and sturdy condition. There are age marks on the front of the skirt and slight underarm discoloration. There is no other discoloration just shadows created by the camera flash. There are small holes in the chiffon under one arm and a small missing section of chiffon in the same area. (See photos.) There are some loose threads on the edge of the front skirt indicating there was some trim here at one time. Probably a chiffon ruffle. The extant dress is most likely from the mid 1890's due to the sheer full sleeves and the cut of the bodice.
Very proud of the fact that I am managing to keep all my saliva inside my mouth while looking at this LOL
