This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. Late Edwardian White Dress with Black Trim
From the seller:
EDWARDIAN CREAM CRUSHED SILK SCHIFFLI LACE BLACK SILK VELVET TRIM BOBBLES 1990S
Measures:
Neck circumference: 12.5"
Shoulder from sleeve to sleeve: 14"
Sleeve inseam: 14.5"
Bust: 36"
Waist: 22"
Length from collar to waist: 15"
Skirt Length: 41" front, 45" back
Skirt circumference: 136"
Condition:
Good, outside in very good condition with exception of chiffon at neckline and on sleeves
and some very faint areas of discoloration at hemline that can only be seen up close.
Lining is shredding, needs replacing (left in place for reference)

I'm a bit hesitent on this one because it does look like a very well done recreation rather than an extant dress - to me, it looks like crinkle cotton and the lace I used to get at Joanns back ten years ago. However, there are enough details and some curious things that suggest this might be the real deal.
