Antique Victorian Plum Silk Taffeta Bustle Ensemble

This outstanding Victorian bustle era ensemble is a sight to behold with rich plum hued silk taffeta, frosted lavender and cream rose jacquard trim, creamy lace, cut and faceted metal buttons (18 total), a bounty of pleating, ruffles, bows, tiny hand sewn ruching, dramatic lobster tail train with rows and rows of ruffles, fitted sleeve, ruched shawl collar with mandarin styling, pleated and pointed double layer tails on the bodice with matching button accents, pleated crinoline and lace at the underside of the hem with gorgeous details everywhere you look.

The antique bodice and skirt is lined with polished cotton which has age and wear to the skirt cotton, silk remains strong with superb coloring and body, hand and machine stitches are present, boning to the bodice waistline, the skirt waistline was let out and is unstructured needing to be sewn to your specific waist sizing measurement, no underarm issues, very minor fade to scattered areas of the silk, TINY scattered nips, soiling and discolorations from a lengthy storage, has not been cleaned, measuring approximately as noted below....

Length at Rear from nape to tails: 34" Sleeve: 20 1/2"

Skirt: Waist: Open Length at front: 42" Length at rear: 65"
