This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Mid Teens Era Party Dress
From the seller:
For sale is an antique or vintage pale green dress. It is hand-made of silk with cotton lace. It does have some damage, for example, material is wearing away on top of both shoulders, some small tears and discoloration/fading in folds. It measures 53" from top of shoulder to hem and laying flat, waist measures 15" across front.
From Me:
A lovely example of the mid Teen's era - 1915/1916.
The blue dress in the fashion plate has a very similar bodice and skirt shape - it's really only the lack of buttons and the sleeve length that is different.
