This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. Teen's Era Dinner Dress

From the seller:

Up for sale is a very unusual antique Victorian era dress. This one was made from sheer Chantilly lace. It is partially lined. I have not seen another like it. There are some minor separations in the lace, but it has survived relatively well. The dress is accented by knit patterns. I have added detailed pictures and they show the dress well.

Probably about 1913/1914 based on the waistline and upturned collar. LOVE the accents to this dress. I know a lot of you will love it too. Of course, not Victorian but Teen's Era. I'm not sure what knit patterns are....
