Teen's Era Summer Dress

From the seller:

This lovely Edwardian tea dress is made from a semi sheer cotton in white. The bodice has bands of dotted tulle in front with snaps, it has a wide shawl collar trimmed with a wide lace ruffle. The sleeves are dolman style with a wide band of embroidery around the bottom and wide lace around the edge (one small tear in the lace, easily mended). The skirt is gored and smooth around the waist, there's a wide band of embroidery around the skirt, knee level with a lace ruffle underneath it and 2 lace ruffles around the bottom edge. It measures 42 inches around the bust, waist is 25, hips are 44 and it's , lweiwit dnthmmeith d, iwshalw, it snaps down the frontespha heavy cotton lace along with soft tulle, French lace insertion bands and pin tucks over the shoulder. The 3/4 length sleeves are trimmed around the bottom with embroidery and lace. The skirt is pin tucked around the top with a wide band of embroidery and lace around the middle and a wide, fancy border. It buttons in back with crochet ball buttons. It measures 35 inches around the bust, waist is 22, across the back shoulder is 13 1/4, hips are 45 and it's 53 1/4 inches long. It looks like it had darts in the skirt and they were removed, but the needle holes are so tiny and light you'll never notice them. Excellent condition.

From Me:

I never get tired of this style. Of course, it would have originally had a ribbon belt and a slip beneath it. My guess is about 1914 or so.
