1890's Calling Laura Ashley!

From the seller:

This stunning piece is over 100 years old and made with beautiful printed silk. It has not been cleaned and does have an antiqued odor. It does come from a smoke free and pet free environment.

The top has beautiful boning and hook and eye closures at the front. The sleeves are very voluminous at the shoulder and taper to be very narrow at the bottom. The orange skirt was made to have a train, or accommodate a bustle. It also has hooks and eyes as a closure and some gathering around the back. We were unable to find a label in either of the pieces other than the name of the person who originally owned it. There is a fair amount of shredding of the piece mostly in concentrated areas. Should you want to use the fabric to make something else there are considerably large areas with no damage.

From Me:

I swear, there were Laura Ashley curtains that looked exactly like this fabric in the early 1990's.  Of course, this dress is from a good 100 years before that.
