This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Sweet Early Teen's Era Pink and Cream Bodice
From the seller:
Edwardian Pink Silk & Lace Tea Gown Bodice: It would have been lovely to see this 1910's complete dress in its day. It is made of a soft pink silk trimmed in lace. The pink silk bodice has machine made applique and hand-made lace inserts in the sleeves. Much of the bodice silk is shattering. See photos. The lace and applique have yellowed with age. The inner cotton lining has some age related discoloration and stains but is still sturdy. The silk covered buttons have wear and some of the pink silk has soiling. The bust is 32, the waist is 25 and the shoulders are 13.5. It is best as a pattern or for inspiration. There is no label.
From Me:
This goes into the need to make pile but minus that fringe. Improper fringe placement is improper!!!!
It most likely was a dress and only the bodice is left.
