This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Super Sweet Turn of the Century Bodice
From the seller:
THIS GORGEOUS SMALL VICTORIAN BODICE IS A RARE BEAUTY. THE DESIGN IS COUTURE WITH GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND WOULD BE A WONDERFUL RESOURCE, PATTERN ETC. THE INSIDE IS COMPLETELY SHATTERED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE SHATTERED INSIDE IS NOT ATTACHED TO THE SLEEVES. THE OUTER PART IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH A COUPLE OF VERY SMALL STAINS AS SHOWN. I AM SELLING IT AS IS. THIS WOULD BE A BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY PIECE. IF WORN, IT WILL NEED TO BE REWORKED. SOFT GREEN WITH INCREDIBLE HAND EMBROIDERED SILK. BEAUTIFUL SILK VELVET THAT WRAPS THROUGH THE FRONT AND BACK. THERE ARE DELIGHTFUL SILK VELVET BOWS, PLEATING, HAND CROCHETED HEAVY FLOWERS, A RHINESTONE AT THE FRONT, FULL AND LOVELY SLEEVES AND A SCARF LIKE PIECE THAT FALLS DOWN ONE SIDE AT THE BACK. THE SILK TAG IS SIGNED GOVERN & BUTLER NEW YORK. COUTURE DESIGN AND SIMPLY STUNNING. "SOLD AS IS"
From Me:
Probably about 1903 Ball Gown bodice. Notice it does have the pigeon front and the complex styling is more indicative of the early 1900's.
