This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Teens Era Summer Dress
From the seller:
This lovely Edwardian dress is made from a soft ivory netting and has an old Lord and Taylor label. The bodice snaps down the front, and is trimmed with tucks, embroidery and narrow ruffles. The skirt has 2 tiers of wide ruffles and the skirt is lined with another layer of netting. There's a couple of pin head holes in the netting that are no larger than 1 - 2 broken threads, skirt has a couple of small, very light spots that should soak out, it does have a small lace applique near the hem that was probably sewn over a mend. It measures 37 inches around the bust, waist is 25 inches, hips are 41 inches, across the back shoulder is 14 1/2 inches and waist to hem is 33 3/4 inches long. Excellent vintage condition.
From Me:
Hehehe! Too bad Lord & Taylor doesn't sell anything like this anymore.
