This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Edwardian Summer Dress
From the seller:
Antique Edwardian Tea Gown, I believe it's a cotton or cotton blend, with lace inserts. Very pretty gown. High collar once had metal boning but has come loose and need to be reattached. White material has yellowed somewhat from age - I have been told OxiClean would help but I've been hesitant to try anything and will leave it to the new owner. It doesn't look too bad as is. It is a delicate piece but can be worn gently as a costume if desired. I wore it once to a Jubilee at the KY Horse Park (see first photo). Dress does NOT come with the hat, parasol, underslip, or gloves, you are buying the dress only. I do have some antique slips listed also if interested. Dress is a total length of about 56", from waistline to bottom of skirt about 38". Bust can fit a 34 or 36, but the smaller you are the more "pouter pigeon" it will look. Waist about 27-28". Feel free to ask questions, which I will do my best to answer, thank you.
From Me:
I'm thinking later 1900's rather than earlier on this one simply because of the sleeve shape.
