This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Green and Ivory Dress 1920's
From the seller:
This listing is for a lovely 1920's green silk drop waist crepe flapper dress with ivory silk details. Definitely something Daisy in the Great Gatsby would wear!! Very unique design with sweet details such as bows at the cufs, front flap and drape at neck. There is also some lovely seaming and soft drape pleating on the skirt. There is also lovely stitching detail at back. This dress has some issues such as some shredding at the right shoulder/side neck area and a 4" inch tear along side the left underarm. There is also light discoloration under arms but not so bad or noticeable. There are also several light stains, small holes and some small open seams throughout this dress. There is also slight discoloration underarm but not very noticeable. I tried to take photos of all the defects worth noting. I feel that with some expert repair and professional cleaning it could be wearable. The dress is very small, the shoulders are very narrow.
From Me:
A nice more subdue dress for today.
