This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1870's Lace Bustle Era Outfit
From the seller:
An ornate 1870’s beige lace bodice and bustled over skirt. The lace on the bodice is laid over a black silk lining. The bodice has a hip length peplum. It is lined with cotton. The original buttons have been removed and replaced with snap closures. The overskirt is gathered in the back to create the bustle effect. The overskirt is unlined. It is being displayed over a bustle cage that is not included. The bodice and skirt are in good vintage condition. There is underarm discoloration and some loose stitching on the back waist on the overskirt. The lace is in very good condition with just a few broken bridges where the buttons were removed. Bust 34 Waist 26. Overskirt front length 35 back length 40.
From Me:
...And now I know what else I can do with those lace curtains my Mom gave me....
