This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Edwardian Burgundy Dress
From the seller:
A fetching 1900-1905 burgundy silk and silk brocade dress. The bodice has a high neck lace insert that has a small pink and white floral print. The lace is laid over a cream satin base. The edge of the sleeves are decorated in the same manner. The front panel and the skirt hemline are trimmed with silk brocade fabric that has a circle and small leaf pattern. The bodice is lined with cotton and the dress has a front hook and eye closure. The dress is in good condition. There are no splits or holes in the fabric. There are circles of underarm discoloration. There are small age spots on the lace on the sleeves. Bust 35 Waist 26 Skirt length 42. Antique clothing if for display and should not be worn.
From me:
Because it doesn't have the pigeon front and it has that neat fold and button detail on the bodice, I'm putting this later than the seller by a couple of years. Probably 1907/1908.
