This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1930's Sheer Black Dress
From the seller:
1930's Sheer Black Nylon Bows Dress
This little number would be perfect for a summer garden party. It is sheer nylon, so it would be worn over a slip. Tiny bows adorn the sleeves and skirt with one at the waist. Rouched bust and puffy sleeves. Small opening on side with snaps to allow the dress to be pulled overhead.
Measurements:
Bust: 34"
Waist: 25"
Hips: 36"
This dress has side snaps. Due to the delicate nature of the material and age of the dress, I would allow a couple of inches of room for movement so as not to stress the fabric.
Condition:
Very good condition. There is some small breaks in the nylon throughout and stress on the seams.
From Me:
This is so cute! I think I need to make one like this....
