This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. Three Edwardian Dresses
From the seller:
A nice group of 3 silk and cotton Edwardian 1912-1915 dresses. The first dress is made of white cotton and trimmed with bands of pink and tan stripe cotton. The sailor styled collar, sleeves, waist and lower hemline are all trimmed with the stripe fabric. The dress is unlined and has a front hook and eye closure. The buttons are decorative. The dress is in very good condition. There is no underarm discoloration and no holes. There is a small pea size age spot on the waistband. Bust 32 Waist 24 Skirt length 36. The second dress is made of silk crepe. The fabric has a pink floral pattern on a light beige background. The neckline and sleeves are trimmed with pink satin ribbon and white lace. The bodice is lined with net lace. The skirt is designed with three tiers. The skirt is lined with cotton. The dress has a hook and eye back closure. It is in fair condition. There is no underarm discoloration. The top tier on the skirt has pea size to one nickel size and one quarter size hole along the edge of the hemline. Bust 34 Waist 24 Skirt length 40. The third dress is made of brown satin. The bodice has a round collar and brown satin belt at the waist. The bodice is lined with cotton and has a front hook and eye closure. The front panel on the bodice hooks to the side. The skirt has two draped side panels and is unlined. The dress is in sturdy condition. There is mild underarm discoloration, a few tiny drip marks on the front of the skirt and some minor water spotting on the back hemline. Bust 34 Waist 28 Skirt length 37
