This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Early 1920's Summer Dress
From the seller:
Fascinating 1920s flapper wedding gown
Authentic flapper ankle length evening gown made of intricate lace, ecru color. It features a tubular silhouette with low waist, raglan sleeves and it is accented with delicate ribbonwork type rosettes. The hips are marked by a flowing scarf tied on the side and a large rosette flower on the opposite side. The scarf is made of silk chiffon, double face, mauve and lilac; all the rosettes are made of mauve and lilac chiffon. There are three snaps on the upper part of each sleeve creating slits. The lace is exquisite and strong.
The dress doesn't have a slip.
There are couple of discrete spots on the dress. The chiffon scarf has many pin dot holes.
Measurements taken flat:
Bust 46"
Hips 40"
Circumference bottom 76"
Length 49"
Excellent antique condition of the lace
Sold as is as found
Happy New Year!
Thank you

From Me:
This is what to do with Mom's old lace curtains! :-) Given the hips, this was probably meant for about a modern size 12 or so.
Side note: All my antique clothing ebay auctions are ending this afternoon.
