This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Green Bodice
From the seller:
Wonderful Antique Victorian Jacket, appears to be Victorian or Edwardian. It is lined with a corset type bodice with stays, one hook and five buttons. The jacket is trimmed in luxurious black lace measuring 4" wide and 32" long. Lovely fabric, but unsure exactly what it is.
The jacket is in Good Vintage Condition. The inside lining has come apart along one seam near the buttons, the back of one sleeve has been repaired in two spots as shown in the photo, plus another spot at the top of the other sleeve and there is a small tear on the back which has been repaired. The lace has a couple of tears and there are a few pin holes in the jacket fabric. The jacket is over 100 years old and wear is to be expected. Please see photos and contact seller if you have any questions. More photos available.
Measurements taken with the garment laid flat.
Waist: approx. 14"
Bust: approx. 32" - 33"
Length from top of neck to hem approx. 17"
Sleeves measure approx. 26"
