This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Red Wool Blouse

Fabric is a medium-weight wool … plaid weave… burgundy in colour with spaced thin gray pin-stripes. Yoke is lined with a polished cotton … ecru in colour.
Design: high collar … velvet trimmed yoke (front and back)… leg of mutton style sleeves… full bodice that cinches with attached ribbon belt ties at side… metal eye-hook closure down center back.
Fair Vintage Condition!! This would be best for display, photo shoots, study, etc. The structure and seams are very sound – but there are numerous moth holes throughout.
MEASUREMENTS:
Bust: 38”
Length: 21”
Sleeve Inseam: 18.5”
From Me:
The plaid weave is awesome and thank you so much to the seller for getting a photo of it.
