This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Edwardian Black Sequined Dress
From the seller:
Ca 1900 Heavily Beaded / Sequin Vicotorian Net Dress Need Restore MED
This beautiful Victorian ca 1900 2 pc Dress is made from a black netting and is heavily trimmed with sequins and beads. The skirt is missing the waistband and lining, but the beading and netting is in overall excellent condition. The bodice has the lining, but has a lot of tearing in the netting under the arms. The bodice is made from a heavy silk satin, it's boned the seams are hand overcast in shocking pink. IT hooks down the middle and the netting comes over the center front and hooks down the side seam. The tulle on the front and back seems to be overall OK, but on the right side and underneath both sleeves and arms it's very torn and back of the collar has a large hole. The bodice measures 38 inches around the bust, waist is 29, across the back shoulder is 13 1/2 and it's 17 3/4 inches long. The skirt is just the beaded tulle, it has a pattern of large iris around the bottom and falls into a train. There's no waistband so you can make it to fit. It has some pin head holes in the tulle and one about an eraser head in size which I photo'd. There's some tears coming down from the top edge where the waistband would be, they can be mended or just cut it off an inch from the top. It measures 44 inches around the top, it's 38 inches long in front and in back it's 53 inches long. As is for restoration.
