This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Stripes! 1880's Bustle Era Dress
From the seller:
A captivating 1880’s taupe and silver ribbon stripe and royal blue satin bustle dress. The front of the bodice has a pleated royal blue satin insert and a pleated insert of the taupe and silver silk fabric. It has wide royal blue satin lapels and high collar. The sleeve cuffs are trimmed with royal blue satin. The bodice is lined with cotton and has a hidden front hook and eye closure. The front of the skirt is made of pleated royal blue satin. The skirt has a pleated bustle back. The dress is in very good and sturdy condition. There are no holes or splits in the fabric. There is some slight underarm discoloration and a four inch circle age mark on the center back of the skirt mostly hidden within the pleating. There is one 3 inch age mark on the edge of the back hemline. There is no other discoloration just shadows created by the camera flash. A beautiful display dress. Bust 32 Waist 24 Skirt length 38.
