This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Classic Teen's Era Pink Dress
From the seller:
A pretty 1912 rose leno weave silk and cotton blend Edwardian dress. The dress is lavishly decorated with dark rose silk soutache trim. The dress has a deep V shaped neckline. The bodice is partly lined with pink silk around the neckline and the edge of the sleeves. The skirt is designed in the hobble fashion. The back has a narrow attached train that is decorated with dark rose satin medallions. The skirt is unlined. The dress has a back hook and loop closure. The dress is in very good and sturdy condition. There is no underarm discoloration. There are 2 slightly larger then pencil tip size holes on the back of the bodice. Bust 34 Waist 28.
From Me:
LOVE that back hem trim accent. No one would think to do something like that today. Probably about 1913/1914.

A bunch of us recently made a dress in this style from the recently released Butterick #6093 pattern. This is a beautiful dress with the soutache and gives me some more ideas. :)

If you remake the pattern using this as an inspiration, let me know! I'd love to see it.
